Geographical expansion continues: The "Ukraine-Norway"project is now being implemented in Melitopol and Zaporizhzhya

On February 16, 2016 the official opening of the spring semester "Ukraine - Norway" project took place in the city of Melitopol and Zaporizhzhya. In the region the project partners are NGO "Association of servicemen" Leader” "and Melitopol Institute of State and Municipal Management" of Classic Private University.
This semester 30 participants of the project will be retrained in the specialty of "Municipal Administration". In the course of the retraining, the project participants will gain knowledge and master the management skills needed to work in municipal institutions, they will also receive assistance in legal and social adaptation, as well as employment in a new specialty.

A new group of participants starts retraining in the specialty of "Resource and Energy Efficient Technologies" in Kyiv

On February 18th there took place an official opening of the spring semester of the "Ukraine-Norway" project. It’s a project for professional retraining of retired military personnel and their family members being jointly held with the Institute of postgraduate education of NTU "KPI", the International Foundation for Social Adaptation and Center for resource-efficient and cleaner production (CRECP).
This is the second group that begins training in CRECP in the specialty of "Resource and Energy Efficient Technologies".

The “Ukraine-Norway ”project starts at the University of Economics and Law "KROK"

On February 15th there was held an organizational meeting of the participants of the "Ukraine - Norway"  project, "KROK" University and IFSA management. The meeting was attended by 32 project participants in the specialty of "Safety of business entities in Ukraine," the president of IFSA Vladimir Rubtsov, "KROK" University Vice Rector Olena Shykova, Professor of the Institute of Security Management Mykola Zubok.
Project managers informed the project participants about the features of its implementation in Kyiv and the “KROK” University, the schedule, preparation and defense of final works, the organization of training in enterprises, assistance in finding employment.

On February 15 in Chernihiv an official opening of the spring semester of the "Ukraine-Norway" project take splace

On February 15 on the basis of Chernihiv National Technological University there took place the official grand opening of the spring semester of the "Ukraine-Norway" project. While the participants were gathering in the hall the guests were shown the film about Norway. The official part of the event opened with a performance of anthems of Norway and Ukraine. Rector of CNTU Sergey Shkarlet congratulated the participants with the beginning of the semester, assured that the university and public organization will do everything possible to provide maximum help and support to the participants, spoke about the high requirements for the selection of the teaching staff to work with the project participants and wished fruitful joint work and be sure to get to end of the project and effectively apply their knowledge and skills for self-realization in the civil society.

A working meeting on the launch of the "Ukraine-Norway" project held in Chernihiv

On February 5th in Chernihiv on the basis of Chernihiv National Technological University there has been held a working meeting of the IFSA representatives, CNTU leaders and the NGO "Chernihiv European". The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the details of the launch of the "Ukraine-Norway" project in the spring semester of 2016 in the city of Chernihiv and to sign a cooperation agreement. The IFSA was represented by its President Vladimir Rubtsov and the head of PR-department Olha Filina. CNTU has been represented by its rector Serhiy Shkarlet, first vice-rector Oleh Novomlinets, Head of Department of Social Work of the Training and Research Institute of Law and Social Technologies of CNTU Tetiana Kolenichenko which has been appointed a curator of the project "Ukraine-Norway" from the part of the University. The NGO "Chernihiv European" is responsible for the activities of social and legal adaptation and employment assistance to the project participants. It was represented by Hanna Haidai.

IFSA President meets Chortkiv Mayor

On 29th January IFSA President Vladimir Rubtsov held a meeting with the Chortkiv mayor   Volodymyr Shmatko.
The meeting was devoted to the participation of the municipal administration of the city in the project "Ukraine - Norway." Vladimir Shmatko praised the role of the project in addressing the problem of social adaptation of servicemen and members of their families to the life in civilian society and the active participation of the public organization "West-Ukrainian Initiative Group." The head of the NGO Maksym Lapan informed the participants about the status and plans for public participation in social projects of the city. The sides expressed their interest in the study and implementation of IFSA experience in the development of "Small cities of Ukraine".

Graduation ceremonies of the "Ukraine-Norway" project participants in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv and Chernivtsi take place on 16-21 December

MainPhoto 739597On 16-21st December 2015 there were organized four graduation ceremonies of the "Ukraine-Norway" project participants. On December 16th in Ivano-Frankivsk 30 people were handed the Norwegian and Ukrainian documents certifying their being retrained on the basis of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas in the specialty of "Energy management". From the IFSA the ceremony was attended by the IFSA President Vladimir Rubtsov. The event was widely covered in several regional media. In the fall semester of 2015 the specialty related to energy efficiency and conservation was chosen by only four Ukrainian partner universities of the "Ukraine-Norway" project in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk. This subject is particularly relevant at the moment due to the economic and political situation, and experts are becoming more demanded in Ukraine.

In the fall semester of 2015 a series of solemn ceremonies of graduation of the "Ukraine-Norway" project participants have opened in Odesa and Mykolayiv

On November 30th in Mykolayiv and on December 1st in Odesa the first in this year's fall semester graduation ceremony of the “Ukraine – Norway” project participants took place. In both cities the event was attended by the Military Attaché of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine, the captain 2nd rank, Hans Petter Midttun who handed the certificates of the University of Nordland and diplomas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of Norway.
In the fall semester in Mykolayiv 37 people have been accepted to take part in the project in the specialty of "Web-design and English in Information Technologies" at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University. At the graduation ceremony the representative of Norway greeted the graduates and said the words of support to the Ukrainian people, who, despite great difficulties, are struggling for peace, sovereignty, freedom and European future of the country.

The first meeting of the Club of the “Ukraine-Norway” project participants and graduates takes place in Chernivtsi

On December 2nd in Chernivtsi on the basis of Chernivtsi National Fedkovych University there was hosted the first meeting of the Club of the participants and the graduates of the "Ukraine-Norway" project. The organizers of the Club in the region were the partner companies of the project: Chernivtsi National Fedkovych University, NGO "Center for Economic Development and Social Adaptation" with the support of the IFSA. The creation of the club was initiated by the “Ukraine – Norway” project participants. Timely and actively supported initiative has led to some incredible results which is the first reunion of the spring semester and fall semester of participants in 2015 in Chernivtsi. Creation of the regional Club is the first but very important step in the development of the clubs on all-Ukrainian scale. The objective of the Club is the organization and setting up interactive communication between the graduates, new project participants, lecturers and organizers to create the conditions and provide the necessary assistance in retraining and psychological adaptation as well as employment of graduates.

In the period of November 24 th - December 1st in the framework of the project "Ukraine-Norway" the teachers from Norway delivered guest lectures in 5 cities of Ukraine

In the period of November 24th - December 1st  three teachers from Norway (University of Nordland) visited six Ukrainian partner universities of the project "Ukraine-Norway". The main purpose of their visit was to conduct thematic lectures to students of the retraining program in the framework of the Ukrainian-Norwegian project on retraining and social adaptation of military personnel and their  family members  in Ukraine. The teachers also held a series of meetings with the university faculty, conducted lectures to the teaching staff and students, interactive meetings with the teachers directly involved in the project "Ukraine-Norway".

IFSA President Vladimir Rubtsov takes part in the International Conference on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and Norway

It was organized by the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC) and the European Business Association (Kyiv, EBA).
Among the participants from the Norwegian side there were Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Brende Borge, Norway's Ambassador to Ukraine, Jon Elvedal Fredriksen, a Ukrainian - Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Oleksiy Pavlenko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Julia Klimenko, Director of European Business Association Anna Derevyanko . The total number of the participants was more than 200 people.

Norwegian Ambassador to Ukraine Jon Elvedal Fredriksen visits Donetsk National University in Vinnytsia and meets with the representatives of the regional and city state administrations

05.11.15 ДонНУ Норвегия Фонд 1 4642087On 5th November Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine Mr. Jon Elevdal Fredriksen  together with the President of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation Vladimir Rubtsov visited the city of Vinnytsia. The purpose of the visit was to become familiar with the situation in the Donetsk National University (Donetsk National University), its scientific and teaching potential and progress of the project  for "Retraining and social adaptation of military personnel and their family members". In the first part of the visit the delegates were familiarized with the current state of affairs in the Donetsk National University after its withdrawal from Donetsk to Vinnitsa. In the second part of the visit the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway held a meeting with the representatives of the regional and city state administrations.

Four universities of Ukraine in the framework of the "Ukraine-Norway" project held guest lectures by the Norwegian professors from the University of Nordland

Since September 12th at the Ukrainian universities  accompanied by the local non-governmental organizations  there have been actively conducted the classes of the fall semester 2015 for retraining and social adaptation of the retired or those to be transferred to the reserve military personnel and their family members  in the framework of the "Ukraine-Norway" project. In the period from 19th to 22nd October  two teachers from the University of Nordland (Norway) conducted  thematic lectures for the participants of the project and worked with the teaching staff at the following universities: Vinnytsia National Technical University and Donetsk National University (Vinnitsa), Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Ivano-Frankivsk), South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky (Odesa), Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University (Mykolayiv).

On September 23 the participants of the "Ukraine-Norway" project began classes in the specialty of "Energy efficient technologies"

On September 23 in the Center of resource efficiency and cleaner production of the National Technical University "KPI" there began classes with the participants of the project "Ukraine-Norway" undergoing retraining in the specialty of "Energy efficient technologies". In the fall semester 2015 KPI has recently joined the project "Ukraine-Norway". In the nearest future the university will join the Norwegian-Ukrainian University Alliance.

Военный атташе Королевства Норвегия в Украине, капитан второго ранга Ханс Петтер Мидттун с момента его назначения на должность принимает активное участие в работе проекта «Украина-Норвегия». Такое участие представителей Посольства Норвегии в проекте делает его более эффективным, открытым, усиливает коммуникации между норвежской и украинской сторонами. За последние несколько месяцев Ханс Петтер Мидттун посетил несколько выпусков в разных университетах, принял участие в организационных встречах с партнерами и первом научно-практическим симпозиуме, прошедшем 15-17 сентября в Тернополе. Graduation of the participants of the "Ukraine-Norway" project and opening of the scientific and practical seminar "Norwegian-Ukrainian cooperation: achievements and prospects in education and research" in Ternopil

On September 15 in Ternopil on the basis of Ternopil National Economic University there was held a graduation ceremony of the "Ukraine-Norway" project participants undergoing retraining in the spring semester 2015 in Ternopil and Chortkiv. The diplomas were presented to the graduates by the TNEU rector Andriy Krysovaty, the certificates from the University of Nordland, the diplomas from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Norway the participants received personally from the Military attaché of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine, Captain 2nd Hans Petter Midttun.
