Opening of the autumn semester of the project “Norway-Ukraine” in Lviv with the co-financing from the state budget

On September 14, it was held the official opening of the autumn semester of the “Norway-Ukraine” project.  Professional adaptation.  Integration into the state system"(NUPASS).  In Lviv, the project is implemented on the basis of the Tech StartUp School of Lviv Polytechnic with the involvement of the Department of Sociology and Social Work and the International Center for Professional Partnership "Integration", Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Administrative and Financial Management, Department of Finance of the Institute of Economics and Management in the partnership with the public organization “The new society of Ukraine".  The coordinators from Norway is NORD University and the International Foundation for Social Adaptation is from Ukraine.  This semester, the project in the region is implemented with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the co-financing of the budget program 1501040. The professional retraining of participants will take place in the field of "Project Management".  The regional representatives of the project emphasize that the implementation of the project "Norway-Ukraine" in Lviv is extremely promising, because there are all opportunities for innovative business ideas, the authorities are doing everything possible to develop the business and to improve the economic condition of the society.  It is confirmed by the approved Development Strategy of Lviv region until 2020, the main goal of which is to turn Lviv region into an active leader of Ukraine's European integration course, the region of harmonious human development, innovation-oriented, integrated into the national and world space economy, safe environment.

 

In honor of the opening of the autumn semester, the participants of hostilities, representatives of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv City Hall, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the New Society of Ukraine gathered.  The event was attended by:

Deputy Head of Lviv State Administration - Taras Gren;

President of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation - Volodymyr Rubtsov;

Financial Director of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation - Tetiana Lvova;

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Lviv Polytechnic National University - Roman Korzh;

Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Lviv Regional State Administration - Natalia Kuzyak;

Representative of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs in Lviv region  - Volodymyr Shamrai;

Director of the Tech StartUp School of Lviv Polytechnic - Nazar Podolchak;

Director of the Warrior's House - Oleg Vysochanskyi;

Head of the project “Norway-Ukraine” at Lviv Polytechnic, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of Lviv Polytechnic - Tetiana Shapovalova;

Head of the NGO "New Society of Ukraine" - Konstantyn Levchenko.

An important aspect of this semester of the project implementation in Lviv is the financial participation of the Department of Social Protection of Lviv Regional State Administration in the project financing - an additional 10 people were added to the group at public expense.  Natalia Kuzyak stressed that Regional State Administration will continue to support the project by providing the additional funding to increase the number of people who will be able to receive the quality retraining and social adaptation services.  This is very important step in the process of integrating of the project “Norway-Ukraine” into the state system.  We wish the participants an effective participation in the project, with maximum benefit and efficiency, success and self-realization!
