Start of new three-year stage of Ukraine – Norway Project is approved. The spring semester of 2020 begins.

On Thursday, March 26, Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and NORD University was signed to realize new three-year stage of Ukraine - Norway Project for the period 2020 - 2022. Currently agreements signing between NORD University and IFSA is in process for three-year term and separately for the spring semester of 2020. After that, agreements will be signed between IFSA and Ukrainian partners. The Project shall start operating in April 2020 online and will move to realizing offline events as soon as quarantine in Ukraine is over.   

New name of the Project:

"Retraining and social adaptation of the military officers, veterans and their families in Ukraine. Integration of the Norway-Ukraine project model into the state system"

Updated strategy of the project is aimed at:

  • Providing assistance directed on professional retraining, social adaptation and contribution to employment of retired military officers, veterans and members of their families as well as family members of deceased officers.
  • Improving, formalizing the project realization model and its assignation for usage to the Ukrainian power as effective model of working with military officers, veterans and members of their families for providing services related to professional retraining, social adaptation and contributing to employment.

The important condition of the project new stage is requirement to attract co-funding from Ukrainian power of all levels, Ukrainian and foreign organizations. These requirements are included into all levels of agreements between Norwegian and Ukrainian partners, involved into the project realization.

The spring semester of 2020 will be realized in 15 cities of Ukraine. The list of cities, specialties for retraining and partners can be seen HERE.
