On February 2, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine Erik Svedal met with the Minister of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina.
Yulia Laputina expressed her gratitude to the people of Norway for the support of Ukraine and the assistance provided to the participants in the hostilities returning to peaceful life. In particular, the Minister noted the importance and effectiveness of the implementation of the project "Norway-Ukraine. Professional adaptation. Integration into the State System” in Ukraine, that is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is coordinated by the Norwegian Nord University and implemented in Ukraine by the International Foundation for Social Adaptation at the universities with the involvement of public organizations. It is important to note that the Ministry of Veterans is stepwise actively involved in supporting the project and integrating its implementation model into the state system of professional retraining and social adaptation.
Oleksiy Ilyashenko, Deputy Minister of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine for European Integration, also attended the event. He presented the project model in detail and provided comments on its coordination with other international programs.
