International seminar to discuss the new three years phase of the “Ukraine-Norway” project.

On September 24, the international seminar was held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine to discuss a future application to the Norwegian MFA regarding the continuation of the “Ukraine-Norway” project in Ukraine.  We thank the Norwegian Embassy for their organizational assistance and active participation.  The seminar was attended by: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway to Ukraine Ule Terrier Horpestad, Co-operation and Development Counsellor at the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine Petter Bauk, Lieutenant Colonel, Norwegian Attaché for Ukraine Boye Garder Lillerud, Deputy Assistant of Norway mission in Ukraine Frederick Arthur, representatives of NORD University, International Fund for Social Adaptation, Ministry of Veterans Affairs, Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the International Security Sector Advisory Group at the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance, DCAF, the universities and non-governmental organizations participating in the “Ukraine-Norway” project.

There was a preliminary discussion of the project implementation strategy for the period 2020-2022, an exchange of views on the prospects of cooperation with the Ukrainian ministries and the future creation of a state system of social and professional adaptation of servicemen, veterans, and their families and family members of the deceased.

 All participants have approved the need for the Norwegian project to be continued for the next 3-5 years and are currently preparing their comments and suggestions to be provided by IFAS and NORD University for consideration and to be taken into account when applying for the new project phase.
